Description:
Ever wonder what it is like to be an archaeologist? Here is your chance to find out! Over the course of six workshops, participants will learn about archaeology in Scott County, Practice typology and artifact reconstruction, get their hands in the dirt with flintknapping and shovel testing and more! Workshops take place one Saturday per month between October and May (excluding the months of December and March). Most workshops will take place at the Scott County Historical Society, but there will also be two field trips to archaeological sites. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the last workshop. Save $10 by signing up for the series. Because of a special grant, the series will be offered for FREE!! You can still register for the remaining classes by selecting this class code.?
The series instructor is Dr. Jeremy Nienow who is a professional archaeologist.

6. Visiting an Archaeological Site in Scott County.
Parents may be asked to remain in the Stans Museum during the workshop.
