FIRST LEGO League Info Night (ended)
#: WSY-INFO   ID: 20   Section:
Description:

FIRST® LEGO® League Jr
Grades 1-3
It's never too early to discover STEM. FIRST LEGO League Jr. is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6-10 while exciting them through a brand they know and love: LEGO. Guided by adult coaches and FIRST Core Values, students build models using LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 and create Show Me posters to present what they learned. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge - to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.

FIRST® LEGO® League
Grades 4-8
Find out how to become part of a team that celebrates discovery, innovation, teamwork, and fun! As a FIRST LEGO League team member, you will design, build, program and test an autonomous robot using a LEGO EV3 robot and MINDSTORMS® software to solve a set of missions. Your team will research the Challenge and prepare a presentation that explains a solution to a real-world problem.

FIRST LEGO League and FIRST LEGO League Jr. require adult coaches for each team. Parents that volunteer will receive a discount for their child.

Get your questions answered and find out how the registration process works during our online information night. It’s free, but registration is required. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with an invitation to a Google Hangouts Meet. TECH REQUIREMENTS: you will need an internet connection, speaker, camera, and microphone (most phones, tablets, and laptops have these built in). If your device lacks a microphone, there will be a comments section for you to ask your questions.
