Ages 8-11
Safe at Home is a course designed to help prepare youth 8-11 years of age to safely take care of themselves when they are home alone. Safe at Home will answer questions about setting up a routine to be home alone. Class will cover common household emergencies, using the telephone, basic first aid and more. Course fee includes student workbook.
This class is intended as a tool to help families prepare youth for staying home alone. Safe at Home will not fully prepare all youth for the responsibilities involved with being at home alone.
Taught in partnership with the Shakopee Police Department.
