Ages 8-11. 
This course is designed to help prepare youth 8-11 years of age to safely take care of themselves when they are home alone. Safe at Home will answer your questions about setting up your routine to be by yourself when your parents are not home. Class will cover common household emergencies, using the telephone, basic First Aid and more. Course fee includes student workbook.

This class is intended as a tool to help families prepare youth for staying home alone. Safe at Home will not fully prepare all youth for the responsibilities involved with being at home alone.

Taught as a partnership with the Shakopee Police Department.

Community Education programs will be open in compliance with State and Federal guidelines during this pandemic. Please be advised that participant compliance with programming expectations for health and safety must be followed. Community Education programs will take an abundance of care for all participants but acknowledge a potential risk for health and safety due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
